The Region is rolling out a wide-ranging policy to preserve the diversity of the creative arts, improve the economy and support jobs in the cinematographic and audiovisual sectors in Île-de-France. This policy is based on actions aimed at showcasing the creation, production, use of and education through the visual arts. The Region has supported 35 series over the past 10 years and has an annual budget of over €4M, making it the top territorial community in France in terms of support for the audiovisual sector, from writing through to production.

Fontainebleau has been home to Série Series since its creation in 2012. The highlights of Série Series’ programme take place in the very heart of the town: a town centre ripe for discovery, with the forest as a backdrop, around the Château (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Fontainebleau has much more to offer than just a taste for heritage and an equestrian tradition: it also has a festive culture, a renewed sense of togetherness, and true art-de-vivre.

Through its cultural actions financed by private copy rights, the SACD supports creation, promotion, broadcasting and writer training.

MEDIA is a programme of the European Union aimed at supporting the European audiovisual and cinematographic industry throughout Europe by offering financial aid to various players within the sector.

The Civil Society of Cinema and Television Producers is charged with defending and representing French producers, specifically their copyrights and related rights.

SACEM is a development policy for music in the audiovisual sector whose main priorities are maintaining an up-do-date database, supporting the sector, and assisting in the professionalisation of producers and composers.

Fontainebleau Tourisme has partnered with this latest edition of Série Series and invites attendees to discover the rich natural and cultural heritage of Pays de Fontainebleau. A number of exceptional sites await visitors: the Château de Fontainebleau, straight out of a French history book; the Forest of Fontainebleau with its 27,000 hectares of nature preserve, which UNESCO has classed as a biosphere reserve; and its picturesque villages on the banks of the river Seine.

Fiction is a reflection of our society and can be found all over France Télévisions’ airwaves. It is therefore completely natural for the top audiovisual group to become a partner of Série Series. France Télévisions is the country’s biggest contributor to the production of French fictions, and the top broadcaster in French expressive fiction. Representing 60% of the total financing of fiction by French channels, it plays a decisive role in creation and positions itself as a partner of screenwriters, directors and producers.

Created in 1993, Ecran Total is the “Bible” of all audiovisual professionals.

Created in September 1995 as the top daily news provider in the audiovisual sector, Satellifax is an independent organisation that covers all of the sector’s news, including, of course, news about the series that are being broadcast on television and how they are being broadcast. It is therefore only natural that they would establish a partnership with Série Series. Satellifax is now the leading paid newsletter in the sector, received by professionals in the audiovisual and communication sectors:. It also receives some 10,000 visitors per day and 18,000 recipients of the free daily email alert containing the day’s headlines.

IDFutées lists the hobbies and activities on offer in Paris and Île-de-France in a range of themes: culture, gastronomy, shopping, nightlife, parks and gardens, outdoor activities… everything you need to make the most out of the region!

The township committee of Pays de Fontainebleau, created on 1 January 2017, combines 26 communities in southern Seine-et-Marne, which surrounds Fontainebleau.. Thanks to the cooperation of its 26 members, the township committee of Pays de Fontainebleau has been able to support a number of projects, including Série Series, which provides an opportunity every year for the public to discover European series for the enjoyment of all.

Seine-et-Marne Tourisme is the Touristic Development Agency of the Seine-et-Marne department in Fontainebleau. Some thirty employees are charged with promoting, developing and marketing the range of tourist activities throughout the territory. The leading tourist destination within Île-de-France after Paris, Seine-et-Marne has an exceptionally rich and varied heritage, and attracts more than a third of tourist visits from the Paris-Île-de-France region.

The Château de Fontainebleau is truly a “dwelling of Kings” and a “home of the centuries”, in the words of Napoleon I. It has been inhabited by every French sovereign since the 12th Century, and still possesses exceptional collections that make it the best-decorated of all of France’s royal castles.

La Fabrique des Formats has partnered with the festival for the 2017 edition of Spotlight on trailers by Série Series. La Fabrique des Formats supports the development of series formats by providing €50,000 in financing for the pilots for two of the ten format fiction projects selected by the festival. The society’s mission is to support and finance innovative projects through its twofold approach: offering standby, training and expertise services for producers, and an investment fund dedicated to the creation of innovative formats.
